Scrapbook for my Sister

Todays entry is a scrapbook I made for my sister who is doing the Susan G. Komen 60-mile walk. I am so proud of her! I used the Making Memories Slice Think Pink 12x12 paper pack to make the book. I used all the double-sided papers for the book pages and single-sided glitter sheets for the covers.
I collected pictures and letters of encouragement for her.
This is my first use of my new Cinch. It was easy and fun to do.
I punched all the pages and bound it with the Cinch wire.
The finished cover...my hero!
Interior photo pages.

When she finishes the walk I plan to scrapbook some of the photos from her journey. I'm sure it will be a memorable event. It was so fun to make!!

One More Card

My daughter and I worked together to execute this fun card, but the design and colors were all her idea. We used Cricut cartridges Cindy Loo for the flowers and bird, and the word art is from Sweet Treats. The card is from the Archiver's yours truly collection, color-chocolate.  Chocolate is a good choice for a birthday card, don't you think?

Birthday Card

What a busy August, all-school reunion last weekend, family reunion this weekend and my sweet sisters' birthday today. When I realized what the date was, 8-9-10, I had to use that in my card. I used some scrap paper and my cricut-George and Basic Shapes, Lyrical Letters and Cindy Loo for the scroll detail. The white dots are made with a Galaxy Marker in Milky Way White. We're ready for the party! Stay cool everyone.

New Cricut

CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) trade show was recently held in Chicago. I has been fun to watch all the new introductions being revealed, especially the new, fabulous Cricut Imagine machine. There is a great video demonstrating it over at Obsessed with Scrapbooking. Check it out!

I'm working on a big project...will post as soon as it is done. It's my first project using the Cinch binder.

 Have a good night!

Cupcake Cards

Today my daughter and I made a couple of birthday cards with the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge. The paper is scraps of card stock. We used the card function for the pink paper and the layers for the wrapper and swirl. We decided to add the blue background paper for a little extra color.  We added some Martha Stewart Gemstone Glitter in Crystal Fine to the frosting swirl-very sparkly and fun! One card went to her friend from school and the other is on its way to Japan to her pen pal. She was then inspired to make some real cupcakes...lucky for the rest of us in the family.

Hope you had a nice weekend.
