More Valentine Fun

Hello everyone!

What a week-3 out of 5 days this week were volleyball games for my daughter-all out of town...and Saturday is a tournament. I had a few minutes today to make a quick card. I made this valentine for the Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog:

For challenge #60, make a Valentine's Day card for a man, using any cartridge and any colors you'd like.

For this card I used:
  • 5x7 Craft paper card-inked on the edges
  • Dictionary paper mat, colored with Distress Ink-Vintage Paper (as I was working on the card I was reading the paper...it starts with the definition of arsenic...CRINGE! I was surprised that's what they picked to make into a scrapbook paper-I don't know the brand.)
  • Gypsy Wanderings for the heart-Red Barn Distress Ink
  • Brads are copper colored
  • Twine is Jillybean Soup-inked a little
  • I cut the file folder tab off an actual manila folder (heart is also cut from folder paper)
  • Small hearts punched from manila envelope paper and inked as well
  • Sentiment stamp is from Anna Griffin
I also had to share with you, a picture of my birthday gift from my sister, who is very crafty and talented. It is an awesome candle holder made with candy! I love it!! Thanks Andrea! :)

  1. Ohhhh! I really really love this card! Perfect for a man too! Unfortunately I am still scrapping wallpaper. I am going to paint which is much easier once the wall preps are done that is....I will have to get to my room to create something before I get the shakes! Yikes!

  11. Beth, thanks for the comments...I think it would be great as a wedding centerpiece...so many ways to do this. The smaller candle older is actually resting a pillar of green foam so you don't have to fill the entire outer jar. I have old wine corks in it now-looks cute again. Post a picture of yours when you get them done. :)
